A fantastic Shanty practice night at Emily's house to go through the songs for the performances this weekend. Everyone arrived promptly at 7:30 so we could get a full session in to go through the songs for Arundel Festival and Littlehampton Waterfront Festival this weekend. How we managed to get 32 members into the lounge and kitchen area at Emily's was amazing. The rooms were overwhelmed by the quality and volume of singing. I do not intend to list all the songs that we went through but just to say we managed to sing through at least once each song we intend to sing out over the weekend. A range of unison and harmony versions were sung led by our wonderful song mistress. Plenty of refreshments supported the evening. A full list of song sets will be published in time for the weekend. A big thanks to our host for allowing the use of her house and a biggest thank you to Jonny and the Girls for allowing us to invade their personal space for the evening.
